District Plan
Central Science Village covers 18 hectares where the plan is to build approximately 250,000 m² GFA of premises. Included in these plans are university and university college campuses, guest accommodation, research institutes and offices as well as gyms, restaurants and cafés.
The buildings can be erected with up to seven or eight floors, in a variety of architectural styles and expressions. The iconic Space building stands out with its crisp timber construction.
The tram stop will be situated at Rydbergs Square, the district’s foremost meeting place. Here there are plans for al fresco dining, bicycle parking and street seating. Around the square, businesses that contribute to urban life will be established, creating a flow of people and a natural meeting place.
A green corridor connecting Vindarnas Park with the Kunskapsparken park planned to the east of Odarslövsvägen will cut through the district.
Science Village will develop into a dynamic, creative and sustainable city district that not only stimulates world-class research but also provides a forum for social interaction.
